Abington Pediatrics is doing everything we can to keep our patients and families safe during this unprecedented time. The health and safety of our patients, staff and their families is extremely important to us. We are following the recommendations of the CDC and Partners Healthcare regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. We are implementing the following strategies to help protect our patients and staff:

  • Rearranging the schedule to separate well and sick patients

  • Screening patients over the phone for COVID-19 risk factors and exposure prior to making an appointment

  • Thoroughly cleaning the office in between visits and at the end of each day

  • Designating certain exam rooms for urgent/sick visits

  • Implementing tele-medicine when appropriate (triaging over the phone versus office visit)

If you or your child are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 (sore throat, cough, fever, shortness of breath) OR have recently traveled/come in close contact with anyone who has recently traveled OR come in contact with a confirmed positive case of COVID-19 please call the office BEFORE coming in. We need to work together to prevent the spread of this virus. We will help you to get the care that you need.

Abington Pediatrics is excited to be a part of the Reach Out and Read program. This program, founded in 1989, encourages reading in young children to prepare them for success in school. Abington Pediatrics will be giving developmentally appropriate books to patients at each well exam, starting at six months through five years, in an effort to support reading together as a family. Reading is a very important part of a child's growth and development. Children whose parents read to them have better vocabularies and are better prepared for school. Abington Pediatrics is working to make literacy and school readiness an important part of your visit with us. Let's make reading fun!
